Editorial policy

These are absolute, not aspirational.

• A claim that we tested, owned or played a game we have not. No “in our testing”, no play counts, no test table. We have played none of the games on this site and every page says so.
• A credential the author does not hold. No expert panel, no years of experience, no professional review. One enthusiast, described accurately.
• An invented price, rating, review count, award or testimonial. Prices come from a live feed or are not shown. There are no user reviews on this site because we have no users to review anything.
• Urgency or scarcity language. No “act now”, no “best price”, no countdowns. You are choosing a board game.
• A specification we cannot cite. If we cannot link the source, we write that the figure is unavailable rather than estimating it.

Publisher first, reference entry second, nothing third. The full method, including what happens when sources disagree, is on how we pick.

Every game page carries a Sources section listing exactly where its figures came from, with links. If a page makes a factual claim without a source next to it, that is a defect and we would like to hear about it.

Email info@tableforduo.com or use the contact form. Specification corrections are the most useful thing you can send us: publishers reprint games with different player counts, playing times and box sizes, and a page that was right in 2026 can quietly go wrong.

When we correct a factual error we update the page and change its “updated” date, which is visible in the byline on every page and is what the sitemap and the feed report. We do not silently edit a page and leave the original date in place.

Corrections to opinions are a different matter. If you think a recommendation is wrong, we are glad to hear the argument, and disagreeing with our judgment is not an error to be fixed.

Roundups are reviewed when a game we cover changes edition, goes out of print, or a genuinely better option arrives -- not on an arbitrary schedule to look fresh. Published and updated dates on this site are real content dates, and the sitemap reports the same dates rather than the last time the site was rebuilt.

A page whose date has not moved has not needed to move. We would rather show you an honest 2026 date than restamp everything monthly.
