Privacy policy

The short version

Table for Duo has no accounts, no logins and no newsletter. We do not sell data, and the only personal information we ever hold is what you type into the contact form.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which buy links are clicked. It sets cookies and collects the usual aggregate information: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device type and referring site.

We use this in aggregate only. We do not attempt to identify individual readers, and we do not combine analytics data with anything else. Google's handling of the data it collects is governed by its own privacy policy. If you would rather not be measured, any standard browser tracking blocker or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on will prevent it, and the site works normally either way.

Affiliate links

Buy links on this site pass through our own domain and then redirect to Amazon, carrying an Associates tag so Amazon can attribute a purchase to us. Amazon sets its own cookies at that point and its privacy policy governs what happens next -- we never see who bought what, only aggregate commission totals.

We record a click event in analytics when you use a buy link, so we can tell which recommendations are useful. That event contains the page and the product, not anything about you. More on the funding model is on the affiliate disclosure page.

The contact form

The name, email address and message you submit are emailed to us and are used only to reply to you. They are not added to a mailing list, not shared with anyone, and not used for anything else.

To block automated spam the form records when the page loaded and briefly holds your IP address in memory to limit submissions per hour. That IP record is transient, is never written to a database, and disappears when the server process recycles.

Hosting and logs

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes, under its own privacy terms. We do not maintain a separate log or database of visitors.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. The cookies present on this site come from Google Analytics, and from Amazon once you follow a buy link. Blocking either in your browser has no effect on your ability to read anything here.

Children

This site is written for adults buying board games and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Your rights and how to contact us

To ask what we hold about you, or to have a contact-form message deleted, email info@tableforduo.com. In practice the only thing we are ever likely to hold is an email thread you started.
